3.5 because it needed another edit at the beginning quite for quiet, etc It took a few chapters to get off the ground for me, though there was plenty of action perhaps it was from that editing issue I loved the botany birdwatching angle, since I m curious about both sciences There were so many things going on around this cold case, and it was interesting to see how one tragedy had ripped a town apart and how quickly emotions rose up I liked it that each character was individual and easily r 3.5 because it needed another edit at the beginning quite for quiet, etc It took a few chapters to get off the ground for me, though there was plenty of action perhaps it was from that editing issue I loved the botany birdwatching angle, since I m curious about both sciences There were so many things going on around this cold case, and it was interesting to see how one tragedy had ripped a town apart and how quickly emotions rose up I liked it that each character was individual and easily recognizable, and I absolutely loved the ending last third of the book.Dislikes lots of kisses between a believer and non believer

I thoroughly enjoyed Hazardous Homecoming from beginning to end It was packed with interesting characters and a very intense mystery ran throughout the story.I really liked Ruby and Cooper One the one hand, it was such fun to see these two people from feuding families discover that they were both intensely attracted to each other Seeing their relationship ebb and flow through the story was entertaining There was great romantic tension between these two But, also interesting, was the way the I thoroughly enjoyed Hazardous Homecoming from beginning to end It was packed with interesting characters and a very intense mystery ran throughout the story.I really liked Ruby and Cooper One the one hand, it was such fun to see these two people from feuding families discover that they were both intensely attracted to each other Seeing their relationship ebb and flow through the story was entertaining There was great romantic tension between these two But, also interesting, was the way these two characters dealt with painful situations Ruby closed up and hardened her heart toward others and toward God when bad things happened Cooper, on the other hand, exhibited a sort of peace through the struggles that could only come from God The twenty year old mystery of a little girl s disappearance was at the heart of all of the troubles in this book It was a very interesting thread running through the book There were so many possible suspects to choose from and plenty of animosity was flowing between many of the people in this small town I enjoyed the setting of this book being on a raptor sanctuary and I felt that the little details about the wildlife really added to the story Hazardous Homecoming was a great read Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy of this book that I received in exchange for an honest review, which I have given. You can read this review on my blog at

Free book on Goodreads I m not sure I gave this book enough focus, as I am trying to read another book but just not getting into it so I picked this one up So with that said I couldn t keep the people straight, but I got the idea I think I am thinking that if I paid closer attention maybe I could have guessed whodunit, but in reality, I never guess these things The smattering of God throughout seemed misplaced to me, are these devout people, or were they I really don t care I guess its the Free book on Goodreads I m not sure I gave this book enough focus, as I am trying to read another book but just not getting into it so I picked this one up So with that said I couldn t keep the people straight, but I got the idea I think I am thinking that if I paid closer attention maybe I could have guessed whodunit, but in reality, I never guess these things The smattering of God throughout seemed misplaced to me, are these devout people, or were they I really don t care I guess its the branding of the book Love Inspired Inspirational Romantic Suspense so it had to tick all those boxes I could have usedheat between the lead characters though, they felt as known to me as the secondary characters that were hardly on the page But again this could be to my lack of attention, especially at the beginning, or it could be this wasn t my cup of tea

Oooohhh.this was a good one, a great love inspired suspense story The suspense aspect kept me guessing to the very end, and I was both shocked and surprised by the outcome Ruby s friend goes missing and 20 years later she finds key evidence that could lead to what actually happened to her However, this finding has the potential to negatively impact the lives of cherished loved ones, and in the midst of it all could ulimately shatter and destroy the bond of love between Ruby and Cooper, who Oooohhh.this was a good one, a great love inspired suspense story The suspense aspect kept me guessing to the very end, and I was both shocked and surprised by the outcome Ruby s friend goes missing and 20 years later she finds key evidence that could lead to what actually happened to her However, this finding has the potential to negatively impact the lives of cherished loved ones, and in the midst of it all could ulimately shatter and destroy the bond of love between Ruby and Cooper, who seem destined to be together I enjoyed this story of love and loss and Ruby s struggle to exercise faith in God was both moving and realistic given the trials she was faced with More often than not I am hesitant to read inspirational fiction, not because I am not a believer, but because I AM Oftentimes I find this particular genre of books to be too preachy, with the spiritual message often forced into the dialogue at seemingly inopportune times, and in an unnatural way I can be happily reading along and suddently I m barraged with a heavy dose of scripture and the author s interpretation thereof Isn t that what inspirational fiction is Perhaps to some, but not all For those of us who are religious and possess scriptural knowledge interpretations are taken quite seriously, and if the reader perceives it as incorrect or misinterpreted the reaction can be one of annoyance rather than satisfying The inspriational fiction category can be tricky in this regard A writer may be attempting to upbuild readers when in actuality they may be accomplishing the opposite effect, offending the readers s own cherished belief system and docrinal interpretations Dana Mentink handled this superbly in Hazardous Homecoming She used just enough inspiration to render the book encouraging It was not overly saturated or laced with scriptural doctrine so as to conflict with my own Christian beliefs It was for this reason, and the fact that the story was suspenseful and intriguing that I gave Hazardous Homecoming 5 stars I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review which I have given
