Gabrielle Mercedes Booker takes us into her life story and experiences gradually but surely There are many women like Gabrielle, who want to know God, regardless of their horrible past They eventually shut those out of their lives who mean them no good, or only use them when they are doing good She can hardly pay her bills, because once she gets saved she felt that she had to leave her job and all her past behind us Some of us can take things in the Bible to the extreme but she knows that Gabrielle Mercedes Booker takes us into her life story and experiences gradually but surely There are many women like Gabrielle, who want to know God, regardless of their horrible past They eventually shut those out of their lives who mean them no good, or only use them when they are doing good She can hardly pay her bills, because once she gets saved she felt that she had to leave her job and all her past behind us Some of us can take things in the Bible to the extreme but she knows that she wants to meet her dream that is dancing Zachary, he not only looks good but knows how to say the right things that line up with the Bible what a charmer Darius is a crook in the nook and has a great wife that loves their children dearly, poor Tiffany needs a wake up call Fatima seems like the perfect friend and Christian, but hidden secrets that I pray she has repented for and keep living faithfully on this righteous walk with God.Once again, Vanessa creates characters that are so dear and real to your heart I could just grab and hug or kiss some of these characters.Love when she speaks on callings vs gifts and how to recognize who we are in Christ, which are the keys to salvation and being a new creature in Christ We are to lay those old things to rest and becomelike Christ who we serve and love We also are to trust in God wholeheartedly, to have such spunk and on fire for the Lord just like when we first got saves Where is that fire that was once there when we first longed to know God, seen his miracles performed before us, and became spiritually lazy once we ve gotten spiritually matured Can see how she puts great concepts from the Bible in a story that can last a lifetime in our hearts and minds I actually underlined some things in this book wow a novel I might add I d love to have her on my ministry Internet radio showcase someday in the future God willing

Wonderful book, it started out slow, but it picked up towards the middle It was full of some unexpected things, but that s what made it interesting With the way the book ended, there has to be a sequel, there were too many loose ends.

Living a life comparable to Cinderella, Gabrielle Mercedes just wanted to dance She vividly remembered the days when her mother would hold her as they danced Those were the good days before that day It was that day, when her life changed for the worse at the innocent age of three I hope you know and appreciate what me and your uncle are sacrificing just so you don t have to become one of those children without a real family, possible being abused, Gabrielle s aunt Cee Cee would remind her Living a life comparable to Cinderella, Gabrielle Mercedes just wanted to dance She vividly remembered the days when her mother would hold her as they danced Those were the good days before that day It was that day, when her life changed for the worse at the innocent age of three I hope you know and appreciate what me and your uncle are sacrificing just so you don t have to become one of those children without a real family, possible being abused, Gabrielle s aunt Cee Cee would remind her regularly. However, one Sunday morning Gabrielle stepped into Followers of Jesus Faith Worship Center not sure what she was doing there until she heard, The Word Goodness and Mercy is filled with love, hate, sin, sinners, righteousness, holy rollers and a myriad of other topics that are sure to hit home with any Christian or those aspiring to live Christian like While reading, faith is what continued to lead my thoughts I continually thought about the sermons of my childhood pastor as he referenced the faith of a mustard seed That is just the kind of faith that Gabrielle Mercedes possessed I have to admit I even envied her faith No matter the storm or the aftermath she stood on God s word and continued to rely on His unchanging hand It even made me question if I were in her shoes would I go back to safe living or just continue to wait on God While reading, I appreciated Griggs use of current events such as the recession and the election of President Obama It made the characters relatable as many of us are surely facing those same storms in our personal lives However, there were times that I felt as if Griggs went to far into the dialogue of characters It was if she felt that she had to explain every situation Honestly, there were times I was reading and thinking to myself, Not again Just get on with it Even on that note, I am not saying this is not a good read I give it 3.5 stars out of 5 I enjoyed this book and I would love to read Goodness and Mercy part two if Griggs decides to continue this story line In closing, I am accepted Ephesians 1 6 , a child of God John 1 12 , a friend of Jesus John 15 15 , justified Romans 5 1 , have been bought with a price 1 Corinthians 6 20 , blessed with all spiritual blessings Ephesians 1 3 , saved by grace Ephesians 2 5 I loved this so much I wrote it on an index card and taped it to my bathroom mirror I pray it blesses you as well Kiss Kiss

An interesting read that explored the life of one woman s road after salvation This book carried with it a common thread that God is with us at all times I loved the way the author began each chapter with a scripture reminding the reader that God must be at the forefront of all that we do And with Gabrielle, the main character, she made it plain and kept it real No matter what the enemy threw her way, she stood her ground which is the foundation of faith Although fictional, there is somethi An interesting read that explored the life of one woman s road after salvation This book carried with it a common thread that God is with us at all times I loved the way the author began each chapter with a scripture reminding the reader that God must be at the forefront of all that we do And with Gabrielle, the main character, she made it plain and kept it real No matter what the enemy threw her way, she stood her ground which is the foundation of faith Although fictional, there is something many can learn from her liferemaining steadfast in the word at any cost You never lose with Jesus.May Vanessa s work be a blessing to all that read

Enjoyable Funny at times Frustrating in a good way at other times There was just enough suspense to keep me uncomfortable but not so much that it annoyed me The main character seems to change very quickly, which distracted me a bit in the beginning but she is so tenacious about maintaining her change in faith that it became sensible based on her determination to change Great vacation read.
