I know the title of this book may be offensive to some, but it was really the subtitle The Hollywood Hacks, Limousine Liberals, and Pandering Politicians Who Are Destroying America and the cover photo that caused me to check it out of the library The author explains her rather unusual word choice at the beginning of the book and uses it throughout, so be warned if you don t like it.My husband and I argued whether her tone was too strident he read only a couple of pages about Jimmy Carter I know the title of this book may be offensive to some, but it was really the subtitle The Hollywood Hacks, Limousine Liberals, and Pandering Politicians Who Are Destroying America and the cover photo that caused me to check it out of the library The author explains her rather unusual word choice at the beginning of the book and uses it throughout, so be warned if you don t like it.My husband and I argued whether her tone was too strident he read only a couple of pages about Jimmy Carter I contend that although she may sound a bit harsh in some respects, most of her facts seem well researched and verifiable, and I think she may have struck that tone because these celebrities have honestly got it coming to them, and no one else seems brave enough to call them out on certain things With each chapter dedicated to a new celebrity, from Hillary Clinton to Bill Maher to Paris Hilton to Oprah, it was an interesting read It is rather obvious though, how one sided it is I mean, wouldn t Rush Limbaugh qualify for this list, at least Indeed, if you have ever looked up to any of these people I didn t , I doubt you would remain a fan after reading some of the ridiculous things they ve said and done

It is hard to take seriously an author who lumps Paris Hilton, Madonna, George Clooney and Streisand with President Carter and Al Gore in her definition of a celebutard I would totally agree with her on celebrity types often being airheads and not suitably informed to be our authorities on serious issues, but its very funny that she doesn t see Bill O reilly, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter all who endorsed her book or Rush as Clebutards.Celebutard definition 1 a famous person with a grandose not It is hard to take seriously an author who lumps Paris Hilton, Madonna, George Clooney and Streisand with President Carter and Al Gore in her definition of a celebutard I would totally agree with her on celebrity types often being airheads and not suitably informed to be our authorities on serious issues, but its very funny that she doesn t see Bill O reilly, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter all who endorsed her book or Rush as Clebutards.Celebutard definition 1 a famous person with a grandose notion of his own importance and contribution to the known universe 2 a human being of subpar intellect, oversized ego and colossal bank account, whose existence represents a drag on the food chain, waste of oxygen and severe annoyance 3 an egregious moronThis is the first book I ve ever given only one star This is a really fast read, apparently written for the very subpar intellect of which she speaks

I am only on page 75 of this book but I love, love, love it Really, it s amazing the things that come out of some of these idiots mouths and they ACTUALLY BELIEVE what they are saying I ve actually found myself laughing out loud and talking to myself uh oh The only scary thing is the fact that by virtue of their fame they have a platform from which to spew all of their garbage and unfortunately there are some people out there who are gullible enough to beleive it I will let you all k I am only on page 75 of this book but I love, love, love it Really, it s amazing the things that come out of some of these idiots mouths and they ACTUALLY BELIEVE what they are saying I ve actually found myself laughing out loud and talking to myself uh oh The only scary thing is the fact that by virtue of their fame they have a platform from which to spew all of their garbage and unfortunately there are some people out there who are gullible enough to beleive it I will let you all know what I think of this book again when I am finished.Finished this book and really liked it There were quite a few interesting facts about some of these people that I had either forgotten about or didn t know about at all

I was interested in this book because I wanted information about some of the things the various people the author talks about have allegedly said or done Although I did learn some new things, the author s pettiness at times and her snarky tone throughout pretty much undermine the points she is trying to make some of which are legitimate, and some of which aren t I m glad I read it I m also glad I didn t pay for it I picked it up for my Kindle during the short time it was offered for free.
